Bold new music, literary voices, and performances at Cork Midsummer Festival this June.

The Warm Up Jane Deasy Cork composer Jane Deasy presents a music theatre performance based on a live recording of actors warming up before the opening night of a show. Featuring Michelle O' Rourke, Elizabeth Hilliard, Robbie Blake, and Tom Roseingrave, with an electronic score performed by Deasy.  12-14 June  Curtis Auditorium, MTU Cork School of Music Book Now Dances for the City (In Time of Angst) John O'Brien A follow on from John O’Brien’s 2021 piece Lullaby for the City (In Time of Pandemic) which saw an orchestra visit four outdoor city centre locations, this time we will gather indoors, with the audience amongst the musicians.  20 June  Curtis Auditorium, MTU Cork School of Music Book Now Fingerprints Ioana Petcu-Colan, Steve Meyfroidt, Lina Andonovska, Alex Petcu, Ross Lyness & Davide Marinelli A fully improvised live experience where unique music, movement and visuals unfold in real time.  21 June  Triskel Arts Centre Book Now Idrîsî Ensemble Medieval polyphony and chant sit alongside living traditions from Greece, Algiers and beyond in this stunning performance and Irish debut by Idrîsî Ensemble.  13 June, Performance | 12 June, Old Roman Chant Workshop  St. Fin Barre's Cathedral Book Now Betweenness (On Loop) Danny Denton, Elaine Howley, Niamh Dalton A sonic journey through the tapestry of a burgeoning relationship during a fictional Cork summer. Follow lovers Kathy & Joe as they etch their connection into our city.  19 June  The Savoy Book Now Home Entertainment Pat McCabe, Michael Lightborne, David Murphy Combining literature, sound and performance, Home Entertainment is a dark, funny and unsettling exploration of modern Ireland and how memory refuses to stay buried.  17 June  The Granary Book Now On Repetition & Absence Adania Shibli A profound speaker on war, memory, identity, language and aesthetics, Shibli draws on her work as a novelist and essayist to explore the relationship between narrative, silence and power.  13 June  The Glucksman Book Now The Music Of What Happens The Stinging Fly x Banshee Press Join two of Ireland’s leading literary presses for a unique call-and-response exploration of the imaginative boundaries between writing and music, and the act of creativity itself.   20 June  The Granary Book Now The Shuteen Erdenebaatar Quartet Award-winning jazz pianist and composer Shuteen Erdenebaatar leads her acclaimed ensemble at Triskel Arts Centre, presented by Music Network.  20 June  Triskel Arts Centre Book Now Said The Dead Doireann Ní Ghríofa and Linda Buckley A live reading and music performance on the site at the heart of Ní Ghríofa’s new book, Said the Dead.  14 June  Atkin's Hall Browse events 12-21 June 2026, Cork city Cork Midsummer Festival schedule
