The "distinctive voice of Ireland" comes to Kilworth for a New Year's concert not to be missed.
Sean Keane, one of the country's foremost and popular performers, has confirmed a New Year date at the Village Arts Centre, Kilworth for Saturday, January 10th, 2026.
From Cahertrislane in Co Galway, Sean Keane is best known for his distinctive sean-nos style of singing. He is also an accomplished uileann piper and is equally proficient on flute and harmonica. Traditional Irish, folk and even country and blues songs all lend themselves to his unique style and unforgettable voice.
All of his solo albums are platinum sellers and remain in constant demand. Six solo albums later, Seán Keane continues to delight audiences all over the world with his live performances and recorded work. He tours regularly with his band in Ireland, Austria, Germany, the US and Canada as well as appearing at major festivals world-wide.
"I have been performing in Kilworth now for many years, and I always look forward to my visit to that part of County Cork," Sean commented, looking ahead to this upcoming concert that kicks off the VAC's 2026 programme of events.
Sean loves to meet with his fans and will make himself available after the concert for a chat or a photograph on the night. We can expect to hear many of his favourite songs, numbers like 'Isle of Hope', 'Galway to Gracelands', 'Fields of Gold' and 'Never Alone' among his many other hits.
