The Black Wolfe Tone

by Kwaku Fortune

The Black Wolfe Tone is a fast-paced and urgent new play about identity, masculinity, and the unspoken battles fought within. As he searches for forgiveness, he confronts the weight of silence and rage that lies beneath the surface. All the while wrestling with a need to be seen, held, and heard.

Following its premiere in New York, the play comes to Ireland on tour to bring its raw intensity and emotional depth to audiences nationwide.

Written and performed by Kwaku Fortune, this gripping work was developed through the groundbreaking Transatlantic Commissions Programme created by Fishamble and Irish Repertory Theatre to amplify Black Irish voices.
