GATMAN! | THE EVERYMAN, CORK | 8–9 MAR 2024
Written and performed by Tadhg Hickey
Directed by Sophie Motley

THU 7–SAT 9 MAR, 8PM
PREMIERE SAT 9 MAR

1980s Batman comics get the Cork treatment in this new madcap superhero comedy written and performed by Tadhg Hickey.

Murph is a down and out Corkman addicted to Gat (booze). Trying desperately to get sobered up before a visit with his son Fionn, Murph traverses the eccentricities of Cork city as he takes on the great fight between alcoholism and recovery.

Meanwhile...

Welcome to Corkopia! The glorious technicolour wonderland of Murph's alcohol-fuelled superhero alter-ego, Gatman. Gatman’s mission: to save his beloved, boozy city from the sobering shackles of Father Mathew – the temperance priest statue that has come to life.

Following the critical success of In One Eye, Out the Other (2019), Tadhg Hickey brings his new play, directed by Sophie Motley, to The Everyman stage.
