This late night concert is focused on the ubiquitous but yet often overlooked guitar in traditional music. Steve Cooney who has been part of this festival from the beginning will be presenting some of his beautiful harp music arrangements.
Luka Bloom who is primarily known as a singer songwriter made a beautiful instrumental guitar album called “Out Of The Blue” that was released in 2021. Though his international career is mainly focused in the singer-songwriter world, he has remained closely connected to the traditional music world. Luka will play pieces from his album.
Laura Snowden is a very accomplished classical guitarist from England. She also plays folk music including traditional Irish music. Her refined musical sensibilities and amazing technique will be a fine pairing with the candlelit library of Bantry House and with her other guitar colleagues for the evening.
