Bruiser Theatre Company presents

Mojo Mickybo

by Owen McCafferty

Directed by Lisa May

Tuesday 23rd – Saturday 27th May 2023 @8pm

Saturday 27th Matinee @3pm

Set in Belfast over the summer of 1970, Mojo and his mate Mickybo are two nine-year-old boys from opposing sides of the sectarian divide. They are 'thick as two small thieves', playing headers, being mouthy, and spitting from cinema balconies with the violence of The Troubles only obliquely impacting on them – until finally their friendship is destroyed by it.

This is pure storytelling with Bruiser’s dynamic physicality. Winner of 'Best Ensemble' and Nominated for 'Best Director' at the Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards2022, Mojo Mickybo has received outstanding audience feedback and critical acclaim across the board.

“This is a piece of theatre that deserves the biggest of audiences.”

Cathy Brown, No More Workhorse

“What we have here is a stunning, breath-taking piece of theatre.”

Conor O’Neill, Culture Crush NI

Blood in the Alley Theatre in association with

Cork County Council and The Arts Council Presents

Sean Moylan

Irish Revolutionary

written and performed by Michael Patric

Directed by Geoff Gould

Design by Cormac O' Connor

Tuesday 28th March – Saturday 1st April, 2023 @ 8pm

Written and performed by Michael Patric, (An Cailín Ciúin, Smother, Frontier) and directed by Geoff Gould, Sean Moylan: Irish Revolutionary is one man’s account of key events during the Irish War of Independence. The play will take the audience through dramatic events of the period. Ambush and guerrilla tactics, life on the run and the lasting effects of it all. In true Moylan fashion, it will be intense but funny and direct but reflective.
