Cork Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts initiative, delivered by Muintir Cork and supported by the HSE and Cork City and County Councils. Cork Cultural Companions has local networks of members who attend events together regularly in Cork City, Mallow, Bantry and East Cork.

Heritage Week events on Cléire - Currach and geansaí stitch workshops



Following on from the success of the coracle building course May 18th to May 22nd on Oileán Chléire, Tograí Chléire are presenting a follow up talk/workshop/demonstration by master boat builder Pádraig Ó Duinnín. Additional to this will be a demonstration of the coracle after the talk.

There will also be a demonstration by Jean Long of the stitching techniques of the Geansaí Chléire at Mara Farm. There will also be a mini exhibition of some of Pat Cons pictures and a talk from William Casey about the digitisation project for the pictures.
