Cork Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts initiative, delivered by Muintir Cork and supported by the HSE and Cork City and County Councils. Cork Cultural Companions has local networks of members who attend events together regularly in Cork City, Mallow, Bantry and East Cork.

Chatty Hands

Our Chatty Hands programme continues to offer a warm and inclusive space for adults to gather, create and connect. 
Each session combines fun creative activities with relaxed conversation, encouraging community, wellbeing and shared stories. 

Thursdays 10.30am - 12.00pm 
Only €10 per session


This Summer we are exploring:

  • Simple mixed media projects using repurposed materials
  • Working with clay to shape simple tactile pieces
  • Seasonal crafts and painting 
Drop in on Thursdays for some creativity and connection with Aisling. Materials & refreshments provided - just bring yourself! No experience needed.

Open now: Community Employment Scheme role for Administrative Assistant at Greywood Arts is open now!

19.5 hours per week, closing on June 8th.

The responsibilities and training for this role will include:
- Managing invoicing and payment processing
- Overseeing the rental calendar and coordinating with renters and studio artists-in-residence
- Maintaining digital archives and implementing administrative procedures
- Supporting the planning, promotion, and delivery of cultural events

Developing relevant computer skills for the role include proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite (documents and spreadsheets)
- File management systems
- Canva (graphic design)
- Social media platforms and scheduling software
- QuickBooks Online (accounting)

Location of the post: Greywood Arts CLG Main Street, Killeagh, Co. Cork

Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Early Years Creative Play 

with Eilis O'Toole
Early Years Creative Play Saturday 13th June

These Creative Play Sessions for babies and toddlers and their parent/carer will be delivered from 10-11am on Sat 13th June.

These sessions will facilitate "messy play" and sensory engagement with a range of materials for little ones.

With a variety of themes, the sessions will be led by artist Eilís O'Toole, a highly skilled and experienced Arts Facilitator/Educator with Early Years and Primary groups.

Cost is €15, please note that there wll be no charge for babies under 12 months attending with older siblings.
