Cork Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts initiative, delivered by Muintir Cork and supported by the HSE and Cork City and County Councils. Cork Cultural Companions has local networks of members who attend events together regularly in Cork City, Mallow, Bantry and East Cork.

“Matchmake Me Do” A Two Act Play.  Admission €15

The Glen Theatre Drama Group Banteer brings to the stage, an adapted presentation of John B Keane’s “Letters of a Matchmaker”. Adapted by Terry Byrne and Directed by Tadhg O’Keeffe “Matchmake Me Do” is a Two Act Comedy Play and will be performed in The Glen Theatre on the 28th and 29th December at 8pm each night. A tribute to the music of John Denver – Marc Roberts


On 12th of October 1997, John Denver was tragically killed and the world lost one of its greatest singer/songwriters.
Marc Roberts performs his critically acclaimed and award-winning show ‘A Tribute To The Music of John Denver’ – a full multimedia journey through John Denver’s life and music. Marc performs all the hits including ‘Annie’s Song’, ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’, ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’, ‘Some Days Are Diamonds’, ‘Calypso’ and ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy’, while also narrating John Denver’s life story to a multimedia backdrop. Marc Roberts’ first self-titled album was released and 5 albums followed. ‘Meet Me Half Way’, ‘Once in your Life’, ‘The Promise’ ‘Now & Then’, ‘A tribute to the music of John Denver’, which went to No.1 in the iTunes country charts. Marc has co-written with many top songwriters…Brian Kennedy, Charlie McGettigan, Jimmy MacCarthy, Darren Holden, Billy Farrell, Ben Mills, Derek Ryan, Grammy Nominee Billy Yates, Max T. John Bosco McLaine (Seamus O’Rourke) is a man who has never lain down with a woman, but has had romantic blood pulsing through his veins all his life.
