Triskel Arts Centre July Events

Hi Cork Cultural Companions

Welcome to the Triskel Newsletter for June. Annie Mar is our current Artist in Residence in Triskel Sample Project Space and she will lead two workshops focussing on Special Things this month. The first is on Wednesday 2 July and the second is on Saturday 26 July. Tickets are free and limited – booking is required. If you can’t make the workshops, you’re welcome to wander into the Project Space to see what Annie is working on.

In Triskel Cinema, we’re finishing up the first part of our Michael Haneke Retrospective today and tomorrow – the second part will be at the end of the month; our Adrian Lyne season starts on 26 July with Foxes – that season continues into August; Phantoscope is back; we’re showing Barry Lyndon, which celebrates its 50th anniversary; and you can also enjoy films about Eileen Gray, the Phoenician SchemeHot Milk and many more.

We’re quiet on the music front this month but the Raja Quartet will join us in August; Sounds from a Safe Harbour is in September, Cork Folk Festival will be here 2-5 October so save the dates for that now; and tickets are on sale for our Autumn String Quartet Series with the National String Quartet Foundation.

Keep scrolling for more on Annie’s workshops and all the great films showing in Triskel Cinema this month.

See you soon
