Cork Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts initiative, delivered by Muintir Cork and supported by the HSE and Cork City and County Councils. Cork Cultural Companions has local networks of members who attend events together regularly in Cork City, Mallow, Bantry and East Cork.

Cork Folk Fest Lunchtime event Friday 4th October

 


Join Cultural Companions this Friday 4th October for a lunchtime event in Cork's Civic Trust House

Civic Trust House 1pm Lecture from Armagh writer Fintan Vallely who recently published the book Companion to Irish Traditional Music, 3rd edition 


Fintan Vallely is a musician, writer and speaker in and on Traditional music. A performer since his younger teens in the early 1960s, he has travelled widely playing music, and teaches flute at Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy (summer school) in Co. Clare annually and at workshops internationally.
