Hi Cork Cultural Companions Welcome to the Triskel Newsletter for September. Schools are back, nights are closing in and we have a lot of shows for you to enjoy. Three series will start this month (Spotlight Chamber Music Series, Autumn String Quartet Series and Art History Reframed: Autumn Lecture Series), a new artist will be in residence in Triskel Sample Project Space (Joseph Heffernan), VIVA VHS! is back for Culture Night, and our Head of Cinema has outdone himself with another month of eclectic and fascinating arthouse cinema.   Cinema this month includes a documentary about Ireland’s first female president, Mary Robinson; dubbed and subtitled versions of a masterpiece animation from Studio Ghibli; a Q&A with the filmmakers of Don’t Forget to Remember; Sátántangó, a 7½ hour long extravaganza from director Béla Tarr; and more!   Keep scrolling to check out what’s happening in Triskel this month.
