Cork Midsummer Festival On the Streets brings theatre, dance and spectacle to the lanes, corners and avenues of Cork city. Expect to see a giant rope, mischievous travelling performers, a wild and wacky parade, and lots more to experience. MIDSUMMER PARADE: THE GLORIOUS RAMBLINGS OF THE FAMILY SHENANIGAN Cork Community Art Link 16 June | Oliver Plunkett Street Come and join The Family Shenanigan, an eccentric troupe of more than 150 makers and performers, and rejoice in their spectacular antics, weird contraptions, dazzling floats and stunning costumes in a unique Cork celebration of Midsummer for all. UROBOROS La Casa Oscura 15-16 June | City centre Using diverse elements from different styles of dance, physical theatre and performance, Uroboros is a playful and fun creation that contrasts with the intensity of movement – reflecting the human journey from birth, youth, adulthood and death. KAMCHÀTKA Street theatre 16 June | Patrick's Street Exhilarating and inspiring street theatre company Kamchàtka return to Cork once more with their acclaimed and anarchic performance after an iconic debut in 2018.     TRAVELLING ROPE Lef Spincemaille 20-23 June | Cork city streets A giant, oversized rope appears on the streets and parks of Cork – inviting you to reimagine the city by moving, holding, or just visiting ROPE on its adventures and explorations as it pops up in surprise locations.
