Cork Harbour Festival returns this June from the 1st to the 10th with 10 days packed full of maritime fun! Highlighting Cork's greatest natural amenities, Cork Harbour and the river Lee, the festival programme includes events throughout Cork City and County. The flagship event Ocean to City-An Rás Mór, Ireland’s very own long-distance rowing race attracting hundreds of participants from all over the world will take place on Saturday 8th June. The festival highlights over 80 attractions and activities in Cork Harbour, the river lee and the Cork coastline. Featuring on water and land activities that explore fascinating maritime history, cultural experiences and heritage sites, we have something for everyone of all ages and all activity levels. Watersports, talks, walks, storytelling, exhibitions, orienteering, family activities, theatre experiences, poetry and heritage are all presented as part of the 2024 Cork Harbour Festival programme. Through out the festival there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water; try kayaking, dragon boating, surfing, scuba diving, power boating, sailing, and boat tours. For those who want to stay on land we have beach and river bank cleanups, heritage and nature walks, cycle tours, educational talks and a smoke house tour. Appreciators of art will enjoy one of the exhibitions on display, musical events, theatre experiences or some storytelling. See the full programme here: https://corkharbourfestival.com/events24/ |
