Bantry Walking Festival 2nd to 4th June

Bantry Walking Festival is returning this June Bank Holiday Weekend 2023 from Fri 2nd-Sun 4th June, With a launch on Friday in Bantry Community Tourist Office, including a Historical Walk of Bantry Town!

This year’s festival will follow the same format as last year with an: A walk Saturday, B walk Sunday and Whiddy Island C walks on both days! All walks leave from Bantry Community Tourist Office on Wolfe Tone Square and buses are provided to and from the A & B walks.

Due to the demand for this walk last year we will be visiting Gougane Barra once again with a 5 hour hike, taking us up to 566m in elevation on Saturday. Our B walk will take in Cahergal on The Sheep’s Head Peninsula.

Pre-booking is essential as places are limited and can be booked via EventBrite. Proper footwear (Boots only) and weather gear is essential, our safety officers will be checking before setting off! You can email us on bantrywalkingfestival@gmail.com for info or check our or Facebook and Instagram for updates!
