Ensemble Diderot performs throughout the 2023 West Cork Chamber Music Festival
Ensemble Diderot returns to Bantry for this summer's West Cork Chamber Music Festival.

The ensemble's first performance is the 11am Coffee concert on Monday 26 June in St Brendan's Church when they present a programme from mid-eighteenth century Berlin including works by Graun, Kirnberger and Goldberg.

They return for Wednesday's Coffee concert which features the great triumvirate of Bach, Handel and Telemann. Soprano Anna Devin joins the ensemble for Handel's cantata Armida abbandonata.

Thursday's programme closes in a blaze of Baroque concertos as Ensemble Diderot perform Pisendel, Fasch and Durant in the 10pm Late Night concert.

The musicians remain in concerto and cantata mode for their final concert - the Coffee Concert on Friday 30 June. This concert emulates the Berlin Friday Academies where virtuoso instrumentalists composed for their own instrument.

Ensemble Diderot's Johannes Pramsohler talks about their 2022 album Travel Concertos below. Works performed on this album will be played in their Late Night concert on Thursday 29 June.
