Take Off Festival returns with thrilling dance from Ireland & Europe Wednesday 19 - Friday 21 February 2025 Now in its third year, Take Off Festival features thrilling dance artists from Ireland and Europe. Highlights include works by Aerowaves artists Tú Hoàng (Netherlands/Vietnam) and Habib Ben Tanfous  (Belgium/Tunisia), alongside Jessie Keenan (Ireland), Tobi Omoteso  (Ireland/Nigeria), and a new work by Amir Sabra (Ireland/Palestine) commissioned by Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company. You can also join professional classes with festival artists, and a roundtable discussion facilitated by Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín offering audiences a deep dive into dance practices. Be a Part of the Festival Programme We are extremely excited to be celebrating Cork's unique maritime heritage with you for the 10th anniversary of Cork Harbour Festival in 2025! We're looking forward to creating a big splash in Cork City and Harbour with a fantastic and diverse line-up of events - both on land and on the water. We welcome all things maritime and/or harbour-themed to come on board, from water activities to open days and shows to walks... the more the merrier!   The Festival attracts over 25,000 visitors from across Ireland and beyond. Your event will be included for free in our Festival Programme; featured on the cover of May Whazon; promoted through our website (26,000 unique visitors), social media (15,000+ followers), mailing lists (4,000 readers) and an extensive PR campaign. What's on at The Everyman

Emmet Kirwan in association with COBA: Cian O’Brien Arts and Caoimhe Whelan presents ACCENTS Accents is a transformative show about the arrival of new life, the families we try to create, the families we may never have and the post-crash boom generation living a life delayed. Prompted by the birth of Kirwan’s first son, the actor-writer explores the sounds of our voices and how they define us, how we’re perceived and how they can give us power. The play takes the form of eight poems delivered against Eoin French’s incredible soundtrack. The show has its own unique universe with its own gravitational pull, with an expanding and contracting celestial rhythm driven by playwright and spoken-word artist Emmet Kirwan, under the compelling and energetic direction of one of Ireland’s most exciting directors, Claire O’Reilly. Emmet is accompanied by the amazing musical talents of Ben Bix and Brian (The Line) Dillon, two classically trained musicians and members of the experimental electronic super group Melty Brains. Through their multi-instrumental talents they bring Eoin’s exquisite score to life. It is Kirwan’s Big Bang stage presence, his pulsating life-affirming energies through words and movement that make this show a must for your new year outings.
