'Lights of Love Remembrance Tree' Fermoy Dec 4th

'Lights of Love Remembrance Tree' - The Christmas season is a time to celebrate our blessings with family and friends, and also serves as a time to join together with them in remembering friends and loved ones who are sadly no longer with us.

Fermoy Community Health Project & Fermoy Community Resource Centre in association with the Fermoy Committee of Cork Mental Health cordially invite you to attend the 'Lights of Love - Remembrance Tree' event, at which you may, if you wish, sponsor a light to remember your loved one by making a €5 donation.  For your donation, you will receive a Lights of Love pack which has our Lights of Love Remembrance card – this card can be posted to a family member to let them know a light is shining on the tree, also included is a Christmas keepsake and a Little Bag of Hope.

On the night, you can also write the name of your loved ones name into the 2022 memory frame.

This community event takes place on Sunday 4st December from 5 - 6pm in the Fermoy Resource Centre, 42 McCurtain Street.  Refreshments will be served.  All are welcome to attend.

That's a quarter of a century like – so many good years of playing music, writing songs and singing my heart out. It feels like a milestone of an anniversary to celebrate with friends, so come join me and plenty of special guests this December at The Everyman to continue this great tradition".

Art at the Triskel

Exhibition from Róisín O'Sullivan: I See Skies at Triskel Gallery Space

Runs from Thu 1 Dec 2022 - Sun 26 March 2023

Róisín O'Sullivan's practice stems from her experience of nature. O'Sullivan makes paintings and objects that reflect the natural world around her, taking a deep interest in collecting and responding to materials such as wood and leaves. Her work slips into abstraction through intuition within the studio process, creating curious painted, carved, and burned marks.

The exhibition I See Skies features a new series of paintings that began at the Tony O'Malley residency in Callan, County Kilkenny. There, the artist spent over a year immersed in nature, embracing each intimate surface in the studio as an emotional response to the complexities of life.

Christmas at the Cathedral

After a two-year pause, Cork International Choral Festival is thrilled to announce the return of this popular evening with acclaimed soprano Fiona O'Reilly and tenor Ryan Morgan for an evening of festive carols, song and poetry in the stunning surrounds of St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral on Saturday 17th December 2022 at 7:30 pm.

Fiona and Ryan will be joined on the evening by actors and singers from CADA Performing Arts (principal Catherine Mahon Buckley), The Carrigtwohill Gospel Choir (conductor Aoibheann Carey-Philpott), The Voices (conductor Mary Pedder Daly), Choral Con Fusion (conductor Keith Dwyer Greene) and Cór Scoil Mhuire J.S. (conductor Maeve Ann O'Brien).

Join us for this evening of beautiful singing and entertainment, great raffle prizes and mince pies… and a chance to sing along too!

The evening is directed by Catherine Mahon Buckley, aided musically by Michael Young and guarantees to deliver an evening of festive fuzziness.

Cork Arts Centre Presents

ALSA Productions presents At the Moment, Everything is Missing

December 14 - 18 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday @ 8pm;Saturday @ 3pm and 8pm; Sunday@ 6pm

The performer stands on a dark stage.

The child walks to the edge of the water.

The body of water moves.

What do you do when the Sea follows you home?

Sea water can be relentless. Unforgiving. If you have any small gaps or cracks, it will find them immediately. But what if everything about your reality is broken, fractured, missing?

A new production by Cork theatre company ALSA Productions. Directed by Katrina Foley and written and performed by Al Dalton.

At the Moment, Everything is Missing is a moving story about a performer trying to “move on”.

A heartfelt meditation on loss, life and living. A deep dive into the ripples left by grief on our minds, our lives and our work.

Supported by The Arts Council, Cork Arts Theatre and Once Off Productions
